I just won this prize at Primanima World Festival of First Animations.
I got it not for one of my films, but for all the three selected ones. (Polyhedron Blues, Zséman, Bassement(my diploma).
They shared the Grand Prix between Jason Carpenter for his film The Renter and me.
I'm especially happy because of the name of the prize. I'm a big fan of George Pal's works.
"The jury found important to recognize and promote young Hungarian talent and created a prize naming its after one of the most prominent Hungarian animation pioneer, George Pal. This prize goes to a young director, who showed us diversity, creativity in his works, exploring the medium in a playful yet expressive way. George Pal Prize is a shared award with the Grand Prix." I made this stop motion short with three classmates in this semester. At first everybody had to design a visual concept, then we selected three projects to realize. My design was also selected, so we started to work four of us. The basic storyline was given, we had to come up with the ending and also had to make some lip-synch, for that i wrote some gibberish dialogue.
